Measuring Tips to Assure The Best Fit

A) Chest

Wrap the tape measure under your armpits, around the fullest part of your chest. The tape measure should be snug. Not so tight that it constricts breathing, but not so loose that the tape measure slides down

B) Stomach

Start at the top of your hip bone, then bring the tape measure all the way around your body, level with your belly button. Make sure it's not too tight and that it's straight, even at the back. Don't hold your breath while measuring. Check the number on the tape measure right after you exhale

C) Hips

Put your feet together. Locate the correct area of your hips - the widest point around your buttocks. Your hip measurement should include your buttocks and hips. Hold the start of the tape measure on one hip, wrap it around your buttocks and around your other hip and then back to where you started

D) Instruct your friend to place the end of the measuring tape at the place where your shoulder meets the top of your arm, or, the boniest part of your shoulder. From there, holding the tape taut, they should stretch the tape straight across to the tip of your other shoulder blade. The measurement is your shoulder width.

E) Collar

The collar measurement should be taken when the collar is spread flat. Measure from the middle of the button hole to the center of the collar button.

F) Sleeves

Measure from your shoulder point to your wrist

G) Waist

This is generally your pant size waist

H) Thighs

Measure round your thighs

I) Knees

Measure round your knees

J) Bottom

Measure round your ankles

K) Length
